		Adult Sunday Classes

Our mission is to build the body of Christ through groups, committed to studying the Bible, developing relationships through fellowship and ministering to each other's needs.

We believe Christian Education is a vital part of building the body of Christ. We purpose to offer a variety of classes to either meet your stage in life or topical interest. The following six core classes for adults meet at 9:45 a.m.


	Expedition Ministries, Room 206 This class that focuses on the interests and needs of post-high and post-college individuals. Dan Scheeringa serves as teacher of this class. Seekers, Room 204 Nancy Leming leads this class. Cynthia Wilson is currently teaching utilizing a detailed look at various passages in the scriptures to glean God's truth for practical everyday application to our lives will be taken. Builders, Room 208 This class is led by Mike and Debbie Benzinger and is designed to educate individuals or couples. They focus on biblical and religious topics being taught by Carl White, while incorporating fellowship. Pathfinders, Auxiliary Gym Don Gerber leads this class. This class focuses on community and fellowship, and welcomes adults of all ages to their in-depth studies. Orvil Schlatter is teaching. Explorers, Room 102 This active group of adults gather regularly for fellowship in addition to class. Leaders Jack and Sue Byrd have asked Jack R. Byrd to teach this winter. This class offers an active prayer chain and group newsletter. HOT SPOT Avalon's coffee service is available immediately following first service until second service begins and offers coffee, hot tea and cocoa. Additionally, snacks are provided by Panera Bread donation. Bread is available to take home following both services in the kitchen at the Family Life Center.
